Doctor Corey Bickler Talks about Dental Cleanings and Exams
People don’t always understand that gum health, teeth health, and mouth health is totally tied to the rest of your body. One of the things that we’re really focused on is reducing inflammation. Inflammation comes up in a few ways in the mouth. It can be pain, that can certainly be a component of it, but it can simply be when you’re flossing and having blood on your floss.
One of the ways that we’ve found to minimize a lot of that issue is to be on a really, really good oral hygiene routine. At minimum, I typically recommend coming in every six months. Some people a bit more than that. It just depends on their particular mouth health. We have a phenomenal team of oral hygienists that are here that can advocate for you.
They can show you things and explain things, why they might choose to do something or different, and they are just great. They really are your people. They’ll spend an hour with you explaining everything and taking care of you, and I really am proud of the way that they serve our patients. They work with me, and we just build a really, really good opportunity for people to come in and get taken care of.
